This year, Linda’s class offerings include two of her new hands-on and demo classes called “QUILTING WITH LINDA” and “FLEATHERS” which will show longarmers, especially beginners just how fun and easy it is to create cool freehand designs to enhance their quilts. Everyone always asks, “How do you know what to put on the quilt?” This is Linda’s answer with an arsenal of designs to choose from and the know-how and confidence to put it on their quilts. These two classes were well received by students in 2013 and the samplers are amazing.

Linda’s Classes will also include many of the basic classes so essential for beginners and intermediate longarm quilters. Linda teaches with an easy to understand style and her passion for the art is evident in each and every class.

Linda’s teaching schedule includes: the Machine Quilters Showcase MQS in Wichita, KS, on March 31-April 4th; the Machine Quilters Exposition MQX in Manchester, NH, on April 9-11; the Home Machine Quilting Show in Salt Lake City, UT, on May 7-9; at Linda’s Electric Quilters in McKinney, TX, 1st week of Sept; and as always, in the fall, she will be teaching in at the International Quilt Festival in Houston at the end of October.

Linda and Rick have two other wonderful teaching engagements. Linda is especially excited about her Star Valley Longarm Retreats in Wyoming again. This July, she will host 4 retreats near her home in Etna, WY. Gammill is providing the machines. This will be the first of many summer retreats she plans to host. Make sure to secure your slot early for these retreats and don’t forget- your whole family will enjoy this area and the national parks.

The other wonderful teaching opportunity is in October (2-6) in Australia at the Australian Machine Quilting Festival. Rick and Linda also plan to travel to New Zealand to meet with the Auckland Quilt Guild there. This will be the trip of a lifetime for Rick and Linda!

Students rave about Linda’s class samplers for students to work on in class, wait until you see the new class samplers she has prepared just for you. If you are interested in any maintenance classes, be sure to sign up for Rick Taylor’s classes at many of these shows. He is the best in the industry!

Hope to see you in classes at one or more of these locations!

    • Hi Judi,
Thanks for asking. I am not planning to do any shows or retreats in California this year, however, I am having a 3 day retreat session for beginnings July 8-10th. There are still openings at this time, but I haven’t been to any shows yet this year to advertise it. I would love to meet you here in Wyoming and teach you all the basics you need to know as a beginning longarm/midarm quilter! The classes are all hands-on, one to a machine and classes are very limited. Check out the web site for more details. There is much to see in this beautiful area, you’d love it.
